Harriman and PolyU CPCE Sign MOU to Nurture the Next Generation of Property Management Professionals
Harriman Property Management Limited (Harriman), a subsidiary of Wheelock Properties (Wheelock), has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s College of Professional and Continuing Education (PolyU CPCE) at a ceremony held on campus today. This strategic partnership aims to cultivate future talent for the property management industry by offering PolyU CPCE students diverse and practical placement opportunities over a two-year period.
Harriman is the first property management company to partner with PolyU CPCE to provide on-site internships across its managed properties. This initiative offers students hands-on experience in real-world settings, including roles in property management, customer service, and handover inspection. Students will be placed in properties developed by Wheelock and managed by Harriman, gaining exposure to both residential and commercial projects.
The MOU was signed by Professor Peter Yuen, Dean of PolyU CPCE, and Dr. Edward Lui, Assistant General Manager (Property Management) of Harriman. Upon completion of the placement, Harriman will give priority to hiring participating students as full-time staff, further strengthening the talent pipeline for the industry.
Dr. Edward Lui remarked, “We are proud to be the first property management company to offer comprehensive, on-site internship opportunities through this collaboration with PolyU CPCE. This initiative allows students to explore various functions, unlock their potential, and bring innovative perspectives to the industry.”
“This strategic alliance provides students with an extensive range of learning opportunities, enabling them to gain practical experience in authentic workplace environments while refining their professional competencies,” Professor Peter Yuen added. “It also enables Harriman to identify and cultivate promising young talent, thereby introducing fresh perspectives and vitality into Hong Kong’s property management sector and promoting the continuous enhancement of professional standards.”
This collaboration signifies a new milestone in academia-industry partnership, reinforcing Harriman’s commitment to education, practical training, and inclusive workplace development.
